Muppet has now been cleared to commence 'normal work' and be treated as a horse following her fractured pedal bone. She was re-assessed by my vet last week and is 100% sound and the fracture has healed well. She has currently got the shoes on that were recommended by the referral vet when she started hand walking, wide webbed with no clips.
My vet has been on holiday this week and I will talk to him next week but I wondered what the recommendation for future shoeing is likely to be. We do quite a lot of road work and with the ground being so hard at the moment, I wondered if she would benefit from pads or similar to ease concussion.
Just curious to know what others with similar injuries have done!
Thanks!
