what a day!!! pony is lame, has been for a week - farrier took her shoe off on saturday he couldnt find any thing. There is no heat or swelling anywhere foot or leg, anyway he took the shoe off and i polticed it for 24 hours just to make sure - it was worse yesterday so the vet came this morning - head groom and i thought it was white front leg - the vet had me trotting up and down pony very lame, was worse on flexion tests, so not good. She did all tests on white front leg, box rest 3 days and bute - After she had gone YO said they were watching and pony was lame on the other front leg, farrier came tonight and put shoe back on white foot - YO comes over and makes him take black foot shoe off he cant find anything wrong so puts shoe back on has me running up and down pony not very lame at all - but she had had 2 sachets of bute this morning - I THINK MY HEAD IS GOING TO EXPLODE INTO A MILLION BITS - IM SO CONFUSED! which leg is lame? is it her leg or foot? is it serious? is she, in fact, not lame just feeling it coz she had no shoe on? Poor pony didnt know if she was coming or going and now neither do I?? any thoughts or coments to add to my confusion?????

I would be listening to the vet and be wary of doing too much trotting up and down if pony is lame and supposed to be on box rest?

thats good advise triplesandH - although i find it very difficult to not just do as other people say especially as they know a lot more than me - but i think you're right, i will object if they try to do it again tomorrow to us. thanks x
