Shoes or not

my horse was careering about in the field this morning and slipped - does she need shoes?

Not necessarily. Has it been raining recently or is the ground still wet? Horses do slip and fall with or without shoes.

No it's needs to enage it's brain and think about what it's doing.

ridefast - I did ask her -she said shes not overly concerned, its a fact of life that sometimes you gallop at the water trough and put the brakes on too late and end up in it and yes Goldenstar of course you are right, perhaps she won't do it next time.
I was just feeling slightly naughty as the other thread asked about disadvantages of barefoot and I couldn't help it.
I am sure she would have ended up head first in the water trough shoes or not!

unless you plan to stud her in the field, I suspect she'd have slipped more with shoes on!
