Taking Teal out this season so excited and so proud at what he has achieved recently taking him to that class it has turned him into a different dog. He is so focused and keen!!

Who else is looking forward to the shooting season?

Yes, very much so. My 5 year old German Longhaired Pointer (Deutsch Langhaar) has just 5 weeks ago had her first litter (6 healthy pups) and both she and I are itching to get back out!

whoop whoop, had the girls out training this afternoon, dogs on acid springs to mind......whistle + dummy = hugely enthusiatic doggies after a summer off :D

erm hasnt it already started? glorious 12th and all that??

glorious 12th marks the beginning of the season....the season starts with grouse, which few of us have access to, I might try get an early day on partridge but for me the season really starts when the phessie season kicks off

Can't wait. soooo excited. Might take them on a couple of partridge days in September, but we mostly do pheasant from 1st October. Am mostly booked up for the season so can't wait.

We only have one proper partridge shoot in Cornwall, and to be honest you would do better going round the field with a big hoover  big bird days iykwim, and they manage to do this six days a week. Lovely, lovely bunch of people though, I do enjoy going there, but not just to pick-up, I like to go when my husband shoots and just enjoy the day.

Hope everyone has a fab season :)
