I know this is an age old question, WHAT IS THE BEST SHOP BOUGHT FLY SPRAY?

I tried to make my own but got really fed up with messing around with different ingredients

Any suggestions please

I only buy the barrier one in the green and white bottle, one of my horses reacts to most others they make his hair fall out, seems to be quite good you can smell it on them for quite a while after you have sprayed it.

You don't need to mess about just buy citronella add a few drops to water to fill a spray bottle and there you go

In the past i've bought the Barrier product too in the White Bottle (green writing from memory!) as it was as close as i could see to being pretty natural as far as ingredients were concerned.

This year i plan to make my own from Neem Oil & a couple of other ingredients.

I used to like Coopers but I can't seem to find it anywhere now :(
Leovet is really good, but I recently got the Equine America Graze in Peace one with Citronella and it's fantastic. Works well and more natural. Good for his coat too!

I use TriTec 14 on everything and it is very reliable.

I've bought some of this but am terrified to use it after reading all the warnings on it. Just moved onto a new yard and worried I'll make their cats ill as it mentions how toxic it is to them explicitly. Also, what if another horse grooms mine? Will it make them ill? Help!

I have cats on the yard and they are still all alive, I spray horses that are turned out in groups, groom each other and never had any problem at all.

I don't find coopers is that great, last year I was using that wiped on problem areas backed up with a home made spray all over, but then I sprayed my friend's pony with the black Naf Deet one and the flies scarpered very quickly. So that's my new favourite. I think different ones work for different bugs too, mozzies need something different to bigger flies.
