any updates on their situation? Are they still trading? Order placed 2 weeks ago hasn't arrived and I've phoned every day for a week and no one is picking up. Also emailed a week ago - no response. Does anyone know of someone else offering same service?
 
God this is a shock, Ive always had nothing but praise for shop4bits, they were really slow sending me a bit once but only because it wasnt in stock but every other time I used them they were really prompt.
 
I got very cross with them when I ordered a bit, sent it back because it was too small and they didn't give me a refund. Turned out they had been at a show and had only just got back. Email them, ring them and keep trying.
 
I'd avoid shop4bits at all costs! I don't think there's anything "dodgy" about them, just quite incompetent!

I had a bit on trial a while ago (which arrived promptly) but I sent it back as it was too big - filled in the very professional looking form stating I wanted to try the same bit in smaller size, then never heard back from them for ages, called - no answers - finally got though to some bloke who sounded very slow/stoned - I explained I sent the form back ages ago requested a different bit to be sent, he got my details up on the computer (I presume) and then asked "oh okay, so do you want another bit..." - it was like he never knew who I was / hadn't seen the request I had already sent! In the end I gave up because the bit I wanted was going to take months to order.

Just very slow off the mark, not very good customer service, would be very wary of them.
 
thankfully I found www.thetackshop.co.uk and a bit lending service where 'service' seems to be the operative word. The 2 bits I've been waiting ages for from the other mob should be with me tomorrow (ordered today). Patricia's Myler Bit Bank were also extremely helpful (although did have some stock/supplier issues)
