Shopping - Budget reins and head collar

My loan horse is in desperate need of some new reins, and I could do with a spare head collar/ lead rope to keep in the car, so I've been having a look online. She's my first horse, and I've never actually had to buy anything like this before!

Found these reins... is there any reason to spend any more? We're happy hackers with a bit of schooling and some jumping planned...

Same with the head collar really - there's a budget set, with a lead rope for £5.99. There's so much choice, but I don't really see what the benefits are of spending more.

Am I missing something?

Are you anywhere near a robinsons shop? they have some reins atm for £3.50 and headcollars/leadropes for £1, although reins are quite vital so might be worth gettign soem better quality ones to be on the safe side!

Ditto Robinsons, they're very good! However, for stuff like reins I would try and get some a little more higher budget, not massively expensive, just push it a little bit as you really don't want to skimp! xx
