Shopping hell(p) - inside grip reins with martingale stops

I need some inside grip reins with leather martingale stops attached
(full, Havana, billet fastening)

I purchased some for £20 off ebay in August (new, from a shop) have used them twice as I only use a martingale to jump – went to clean them yesterday and as well as the billet hook wobbling the leather near the front (without the rubber) has stretched and a tear has appeared. Safe to say these are fit only for the bin but I need to order a new pair for jumping on Sunday but I can’t really find what I want in a quality rein – they all seem to be cheapo things I had before.

I've never seen any with built in martingale stops.

Is this essential?

I bought lovely ones with out the stops from Annaghmore saddlery recently. .
