Can anyone point me in the direction of where to find a 5'5 French link D ring bit? I can't seem to find any for under £80+

yes they are rather hard to come by, aren't they!

Seems you could get one sent from the US for about £40

Totally, it's weird isn't it as they're such a popular US bit. I was thinking I might need to import one or pick one up later this year when I'm over there. Thank you :)

Does it have to be French link? I use a neue schule D with lozenge, still a double jointed bit but I think the lozenge is actually nicer in the mouth
You can pick up some cheap versions;

Yes Merlod, mare is currently ridden in a NS lozenge which I always thought must be lovely in her mouth, but recently had to ride her in my younger mare's French link due to leaving her bridle at home and she was so much more settled and forward into the contact than when ridden in the lozenge. Go figure she likes the £15 bit better than the £90 bit.

My sec D is the same, I have given her the choice of all Millie's expensive bits but she chose the cheapo french link.
That remind me, I should swap their bradoons over, as K currently has Millie's KK one on her double and I bet she'd prefer the french link on that too. Duh!
