Hi all

I recently bought a new saddle and am struggling to find a girth that will match it colour wise - any help??

It's a nut/red colour (similar to Stubben Havana), I need to find a girth that is available in a 42/44", none elasticated preferred, however will consider elastic on both ends if I can't find anything else, I won't buy elasticated one end as I don't like them.

Budget of around £65, will happily buy second hand for good quality, any ideas welcome :)

I'm aware Stubben do do girths however the colour I'm looking for isn't particularly popular, so I think I'll have quite a wait for the right colour, size and none-elasticated combination to come up.

http://stubbenuk.co.uk/accessoriespagelgg1.htm I know the pic is elastic but underneath it says you can choose it to be only leather and only 10 over your budget

Thanks for the suggestion, I thought that was perfect until I saw they start at a 46"! He's only 15.0hh but has never taken any bigger than a 44" girth, a 42" would be ideal really.

In fact on second glance is says from 90cm, but when you go through to purchase they start at 115cm, email sent!

I would love to go for a prestige but I also need to purchase a new bridle to match too! What started as a fantastic deal on the saddle will end up being evened out by buying everything else new to match it...

With regards to elastic I'm just not a fan, I seem to find it easier to over-tighten with elastic because I can't feel the tension so well.

I really don't like one sided as I've seen the damage they can do when they flex on one side

Lol! However shires do a beautiful Havana bridle :) I can understand the elastic thing, especially as the elastic stretches as it gets older!

Thanks for your help with this, I messaged Stubben direct on eBay and they're able to order that girth in the right size for £80, for the extra £15 I think it's worth it just to have it sorted!
