I am struggling to find a pair of long leather boots that fit around my ankle!

I could do with a smart part of boots for general use I am a size 6 with slightly wide feet, ordinary size calves and skinny ankles that need a bit of support. I keep looking for long boots and then giving up and going back to my yard boots and neoprene (kids) chaps combo but I feel like I should start dressing like a grownup now I have some more money to play with.

Budget is 200 but I could save for the right pair. I have tried broginis and Dublins so far but I am easily bored with shopping HELP ME PLEASE :o

I have a pair of the 'off the rack' De Niros which were £250.
I have quite slim calves anyway but skinny ankles and they fit beautifully. I wear mine every day.

Tredstep boots look quite slim and are in budget - not a problem I have myself so can't comment from experience however!

I can't fault my Ariats for fit, and the mix of widths for feet/calf make it easy to find a closer fit (I have really skinny ankles - haven't found another pair of boots that fit as well). Going to treat myself to a pair of De Niros soon though.

I have a similar issue but on a larger scale. I need wide calf boots and have wide feet but still have a very slim ankle. All wide fit boots were really baggy round the ankle so would slouch and crack there. The best fit I've found were Mountain Horse Firenzes. I think they've discontinued them now but they're a very plain dressage style boot so some of their other dressage boots might be a similar shape. I had the wide calf but would think the regular would still follow the same proportions and keep the narrow ankle.

Another vote for De Niros, I have slim ankles and these boosts are fab. Not a bad price either.
