I prefer the right-round sleeve ones now, as there is no danger of them slipping. For that one, I would get a proper sheepskin but contact the manufacturer to ensure that the circumference is wide enough for the wide point. Either that or order mail order and send back if it doesn't fit.

That said, the last two I have bought have been the Shires Supafleece ones. I rate them! They are soft, look new for ages and wash/dry in a trice.

Yes, there would be some spare at the elbow, but they are soft so would not cause chafing IME.

I have bought the highly contoured pad type before and, just occasionally, they have slipped under the girth causing a pressure point, just where the buckles go. Hence now preferring the sleeve type, even though they don't look as posh.

The Shires supafleece "tube" kind will go over the curve in the Prolite so it probably would fit. They're quite cheap and also excellent, like mentioned above.
So you could try and then return if it won't go.
