Need to pick HHO brains for good short boots. However pretty specific requirement - I need something I can slip on without bending down as I have a 6 month old son to carry to the car and am also pregnant! So no laces!
Want something chunky and waterproof for mucking out and walking dog.
I had the Woof short velcro booties and they were perfect but only lasted 6 months before they died

Anyone tried the short version of original muck boots?

I got some short snow boots from my local outdoors shop...just the same as muckers but slip on, completely waterproof and only £20 (in the sale). Try Mountain Warehouse/Millets somewhere like that?

I wear Original Boot Company's Tay boots for dog walking. They are a shorter version of one of their long boots. They are a bit bulky but not heavy. The tread on them is amazing even in the slippiest mud, and it is very wet and slippy in the woods at the moment.

They are slip on and have a pull on at the back, I'm not sure if you'd need to bend down a bit to pull though. My long original muckboots are great for yard use, but I don't always want long boots. The sizing is generous on them.

I have and sell some from Toggi that I love all in black, they look like a more expensive mucker boot. They have a warm fleece inner, so are really cosy too!

Those are the ones modelled on my own shop ;-) Not advertising as I live in Norway and they would be far cheaper in the UK!

I wear mine for yard work and walking the dogs.

Now don't laugh at me but I recomend a pair of Crocs Ambler.

I have been using them all winter (even in deep mud) and they have provided excellent warmth, comfort and grip in mud, ice and snow. They have outshined even my beloved Muck Boots!

Have a look. Crocs also do a wellie "Crocs Geordie" but I haven't tried them.

You may need to buy a size larger than normal as Crocs seem to measure a little smaller in my exp (I have 6 difference types of Crocs!)

I've been really pleased with my WOOF short mucker boots. I can honestly say I havent had cold feet all winter and have only ever worn 1 normal pair of socks. They have now gone through their 2nd winter and are still in good shape

my daughter used to go to decathlon and gets some boots from their. Only cost her £10 and were fur lined. Just as good as the originals. these have velcro fastening. I think they are in the skiing section
