This morning, I saw an email sent out at 22h36 yesterday about an event being organized at the Château de Chambord, in the Loire valley.
This is one of the best known and best preserved of the cream-pie "castles" of the French renaissance, and to celebrate its 500th year, the FFE wants to get 500 horse riders to trot around in fancy dress, the theme being "the Renaissance".
The date of this event: Sunday 30 June 2019... Yes, that's right, it's seven weeks away. And apparently, the Renaissance covers the period 1519 to 1919...
Flyer (PDF), and website.
