so as i’ve now decided we’re going to turn our hoof to dressage, i’ve been looking for a jacket…as much as i adore my tweed, and it was very expensive to have bespoke made, it’s just too blinking hot😂

i really really like the lemieux zoe short tails, but if im spending that much i’d like one that’ll do the job for showjumping should i ever decide to give it a go…will i look utterly ridiculous wearing it, or is anyone going to even notice?

it’s very subtle the one i want, we’d never be doing anything affiliated other than the occasional combined training, which i don’t mind wearing it for as it’s obvious we’ve just done dressage!

The good thing with dressage now is that you do not need to wear a jacket except for a championship show and even then if it is very hot they usually give dispensation not to wear a jacket :)

When I do wear my jacket is it just a regular breathable competition jacket. I have an Ariat one with mesh panels and a cheaper Shires one. I no longer wear my lovely wool black jacket or my tweed one.

I had to go and Google the LeMieux Zoe short tails and it is a nice looking jacket.

I personally don’t like short tails. BUT, I also wear a lot of things other people don’t like or think looks odd (I’ve worn my tweed jacket at Advanced Medium which you don’t see often) and I don’t care what other people think.
If YOU like it, then buy it ☺️
