I'm sure I read something on here about short term insurance for horses. My horse is lame, so I am taking my friend's horse to a ODE soon and he's not insured. I've done this loads of times before and never really thought about it, but since my horse's treatment has cost an arm and a leg (he's insured thankfully) I'm suddenly very aware of what can go wrong. Damaging him for my friend would be bad enough if he was insured but the thought of him costing her (or more likely me as I would insist on paying) a fortune has suddenly got me in a panic! Does anybody know of a company that will insure him for a week or a short period? I suppose the other option is to take out insurance, pay monthly and cancel it after a month?
