Right I have pulled my horses mane to thin it out but how do I pull to shorten it? I just end up thinning it further, what am I doing wrong?

whe you pulled it, did you just pull out the longer hairs? then you would be shortening it.
what i do it thin it with scissors and then use one of the combs with a razor to shorten it, as my mare hates having her mane pulled. as long as you dont overdo it with thinning scossors u dont get spikey bits!

I use a thinning kinfe to shorten my horses mane by just nipping the ends so its making it shorter and making it level
