Shotgun & Knife attacks on horses in Ash/Ripley & Normandy

Please can everyone in the area keep their eyes peeled as there have been several attacks on horses in Ash/Ripley and Normandy. Three horses/ponies were shot with a shotgun on Wednesday (one died and the other two require surgery). The BBC reported the shootings (Ash), but signs in the local tackshop have also warned of other attacks this week in Ripley and Normandy.

Thats fairly close to me as well, i dont get how people can do it, i really dont, this was posted about in the new lounge and the attack in normandy was a foal suffocated with a plastic bag

i dont know how anyone could do such a thing

omg that is .. i can't even say.. and omg my horses are not far of from Ripley... if anyone anyone dose anything to my lot i will kill them.. and thats before my mother get hold of them

Tragic after reading details on this attack on h+h it appears they were shot at point blank range - 1in both front knees (was put down) the foal in the hock and the stallion in the shoulder

I can't understand it either - why anyone would want to kill, let alone hurt these noble animals is totally beyond comprehension - they must be psycho's or something. Even if they were caught, I doubt this country's appallingly ineffective judicial system would give them anything more than a slap on the wrist. Eye for an eye is what I say - give them a taste of their own medicine!
