I had a post a wee while ago about jealousy on the yard, and sadly its still going on. The horse i have been riding for this owner has been working out great we are really starting to gel and everything is going in the right direction we have been to a couple of shows now and been placed or have had double clears and is probably one of the nicest young horses i have ever had the chance to compete!!

BUT...my so called "friend"(obviously no longer) has still been going out her way to try and make things difficult, talking behind my back to the owner of the said horse! Luckily she is happy with how things are going and told me what she has been saying its just getting ridiculous :(

I shouldn't let it get to me as much, but it's difficult and when at shows and they are also there i get so nervous because they are just wating for me to mess up, weather it be on my horses or this other one!

I should be out enjoying myself and not worrying what she thinks but it really is bugging my happiness!

You know what? It takes two people to bad mouth someone effectively. One to talk, and the other to report back about it. I would ask the owner not to tell you about any more unpleasant comments, as it will be easier to ignore it if no one is passing it on to you.

It's not just the owner it's basically anyone that will listen to her, to be fair people from work are getting annoyed with her as she really does take any opportunity, i should really be over it and let her get on with it but it's really stressful at shows as i feel like theres added pressure and if i do something wrong it will just be something else to b***h about! Going to shows is supposed to be an enjoyable experience

I've dealt with my fair share of jealousy over the years on yards and all I can say it just IGNORE her completely.

The fact you are taking no notice of her will only wind her up even more. Keep on winning your horse shows :)

I do try, I'm sure I will get over it eventually it just hurts more because she used to be a friend!
Hope we will start winning soon haha!
Thanks :)

It doesn't matter Sam. You're happy, the owner is happy, the horse is happy. Who cares what she thinks. Let her get on with wittering about you. Just laugh and say "is she still at it?" if people tell you anything. Just keep enjoying the horse and like I said last time, make sure you beat her!

That is a good plan Honey08, I'm still in the it's really irritating me stage at the moment and I need to hurry up and get to the just laugh it off stage!
I did beat her last weekend on my own horse I was 2nd she was 4th and I'm no going to lie there was a huge sense of satisfaction as bad as that sounds but it's true lol!

Kerrieberrie it is an awful situation to be in, I never had the bother when I just competed my own horses an the odd one from work, it's just the fact that this owner asked me and to be fair it is a seriously nice youngster I feel privelaged for the chance! It's really petty what's happening to be perfectly honest!

THIS - The less you look like you care the better it will be.
