My horse died of colic just over a month ago. I washed his saddle cloths, rugs etc and left them at the yard. A livery has used my black saddle cloth and left it filthy. She also used my brand new white one which has also been left filthy and is now stained. I feel she should pay for a new white one and wash the black one for me. She is only 17 and has no money. To replace the saddle cloth will cost about £40 so I suspect her parents will have to get involved. I like my yard and don't want any fighting and unpleasantness but feel she should pay up. What does everyone think?
PS - there are only 2 liveries - her, me and the YO (who I co-own a horse with) and its her horses hair on the saddle cloth so no room for error!
