Hey everyone,

I'm starting to feel rather silly, as eveb in Pony Club events, all my friend wear stocks, and I'm still in my tie.
I feel a bit baby-ish, as I'm now jumping in pre-novice events, but the PC equivalent, and I can hardly remember anyone who wears a tie anymore.

Am I okay to still be wearing my tie, or is it necessary for me to be wearing a stock now? I'm 14, if age means anything...

I'm just starting to get quite self-conscious!

Thanks

Personal choice - I choose to wear a stock as I think the shirts are comfier and less restrictive although it doesn't make me popular at rallies etc. I expect you will still have to wear a PC tie for team events though (or at least we do).

I think I was about 14 when I started wearing a stock. I was 14 when I got my first long boots (but only because I was riding my dad's horse!) I think for a while I would wear my tie for dressage and SJ then stock XC. Now I wear my stock for everything about from showing.

I also prefer a shirt and tie, escp at pony club. Im 18 in pc and where a tie. Lots of our PC of all ages where stocks and some look very over dressed, and ive seen them flapping around everywhere to. But personal preference i suppose!

Its whatever you like. I wear a stock and always have for eventing I think since I left Pony Club (about 16/17). If you feel conscious about it then Id say probably go for a stock!
