i have seen a pony advertised on a certain website (2 yrs old gelding 13.2hh to make approx 14.2, heavy ish built , welsh type cross something??) he has been handled daily, great to catch has been doing natural horsemanship, loads well. parentage unknown but has passport and is chipped and up to date with vacs and worming. he is not lame and has no underline medical conditions (spoken to vet) and he is a little sweetie.

wanting to do driving when he is old enough.

like i said should i be worried by the price? he is for sale for £100 ???? or should i just shut up and grab a very very cheap bargain?

opinions please people xxx

People are giving them away the market is so bad so I dont think £100 is crazy cheap for a 2yo pb welsh considering the current climate and crazy hay prices atm!

unbroken, taking up space, needing feed, taking up time, and in current market no i wouldnt worry.

I took my mare on at 5 years old, unhandled and unbroken, GREAT bloodlines, including delivery for £300. but she was ready to break....and delivered.

Parentage unknown at 2 years old shouldn't be possible due to passport regulations. I'd be concerned he was stolen. But he may not be. He may be fab! Go see and take a trailer and £100 with you!! Double check with vendor its not a misprint? Should maybe be £1000?

he was taken off the moors at 8 months old (no mother near him and stallions everywhere) thats why parents unknown doesnt say anything in passport about dame or sire both are blank. ??

already been to see him just was concerned about price and need opinions before i get back to them about him xxx

I think as long as you aren't concerned about what height he'll actually make then he sounds a good buy!! I have a WPB 2 year old to make about 15.2, for sale and am asking a hell of a lot more, but then I have papers, bloodlines, I've shown him, and he has the most fanstastic temperament, plus I'm not in a position were I NEED to sell him so have that luxury, alot of people don't and therefore are asking give away prices. If you like him then go for it!!

You can apply for a passport at any age it just won't be a breed society one, ie won't be a WCPS one in this case, every horse must have a passport to be sold, so the fact that they have one AND that he's correctly microchipped (am sure the OP did say this!!) then he's likely to be legit, just make sure when you attend try to get the chip scanned to ensure it matches the passport documents number.
