I have a hunter clipped Welsh Cob who lives out all year round. she hunts once a fortnight, i am feeding her barley, horse & pony nuts, sugarbeet & mollichaff extra twice a day. plus she has good quality ad lib hay, however even in this cold weather she is hardly touching her hay. i had her teeth done back in october. she is well rugged with a 420g HW combo turnout and a 300g amigo insulator. should i be worried?

Have you tried soaking the hay? If I feed my bay too well hard feed wise, he hardly touches his hay. I decided to cut his hard feed down these last few winters compared to previous years to encourage him to eat more hay. It worked and he has kept his weight lovely! I also stopped giving him his food ball because he spent so much time playing with it and not eating! xx
