Should i clip?!

my cob has what is like a very dusty coat literally everywhere! white/grey colour. I am looking to clip her but don't want to blunt my blades. what should i do?

get some good big blades! I buy the coarse ones and they do the thickest of coats

bath the bits you want to clip off with nice warm water to get the dirt off. Make sure it isn't a really cold day and that you have a nice warm rug to put on afterwards while they dry. I was horrified when i first had to do this last year but YO wouldn't clip Daisy unless I did and she was actually fine.
