Should i dig up my snowy & icy arena too ride?

I have a hardy type of welsh section D but i dont quite understand wether or not i could dig up a track in the arena (outside) so i could ride her abit, just too drain some energy, our fields are out of use and when we turn them out in the arena, they just stand around.
shes abit thin at the moment but just wondering what in gods name i could do?
any advice would help

Hmm im not sure...... you could just take the top layer off to get rid of the snow and ice... as long as it isnt frozen solid underneath...

We tried that on ours. All that happened was the sand stuck to her feet in sandballs instead :-(
