Turning my horse out naked today? He was last clipped on Xmas Eve. His summer coat has come through and he's been out for a week naked. Its just rather windy today!!

Anyone else's out naked that have been clipped?

No, I don't think you're mean, as long as the field has somewhere horse can shelter from the wind.

Mine have been naked all week, but I did put lightweights on them all again last night as it was blowing up such a gale, however I wish I'd taken them off again this morning.

She was naked all weekend, but I put a lightweight rug back on yesterday and today because it is raining in Surrey and a very cold wind.

My full clipped horse has spent a couple of days naked in the field and rugged back up at night.

Well FWIW I went out this morning wearing what I had been wearing yesterday and had to come back in for a coat, so my horses who were naked yesterday have rugs on today. The wind is just bitter!

Mine went out in a medium weight this morning after being in a light weight all week!

Depends on the condition of the horse.

My tubby boy (clipped) went out naked on the weekend as he could do with losing some weight, but the anglo went out in a lightweight as he is just right weight wise.

They are both in lightweights this week, but more to do with the wind and rain, rather than just the wind.

Nope. Clipped ones are rugged, lightweights 'till yesterday.

All hairies are rugless now, other than the Dizzy one as she still has a big bare bum and needs to put on weight
