Should i get a 2nd opinion?

I am having doubts over how my saddle fits, as rather worryingly when I clipped him yesterday I found a patch of white hair that has developed on one side, below his wither in the hollow.

I have had the saddle checked twice this yr by a qualified Master Saddler who
I have never had reason to doubt before. The saddle was last checked at the end of Aug, just before the start of Autumn Hunting, and the horse has not changed shape dramatically since.

What do you think?

In your place I would. Maybe a case for thermal imaging?

I would ask the saddler to come back pronto. Did you leave a saddle patch on or clip right out? Just that if your saddle is moving then if you had left a patch on you could ride then see afterwards if the hair is disturbed..

No - clipped right out including saddle patch.

It is not his first clip of the season, so these white hairs have only appeared in the last few weeks.

Will give him a shout tomorrow
