Horse had a lameness exam two weeks ago and thickened annular ligaments in both hinds as well as a bone chip in the fetlock were found through nerve blocks then scans and x-rays. I wasn't present at the exam as the vet preferred not but had a consultation with vet afterwards. Lots of technical detail was discussed, some of which I am now struggling to remember but need to decide on what to do next. Do vets usually provide a detailed report on lameness exams? Should I ask for one as all I have is 5 bullet points? Also I have asked a question about the bone chip via vet's secretary and then again by email but no reply. How long is reasonable for vet to reply?
