Daisy is coming back into work following time off with an ill fitting saddle. She has been back in full work for three weeks and is happily going out for hour long hacks with walk, trot and canter.

On Saturday our local RC about a 45 min hack away is holding combined training. I'd really like to go to get her back into the swing of things so that we can go to some bigger things before the end of the season. I'm going to lead her over there in walk so I'm not too concerned about her fitness to get there and back. I'm definitely going to enter for the walk and trot test but I'm not fully decided whether to jump as well. I could go in for 1ft8 which she could frankly step over and she should be fine because she was happily jumping 3ft6 out of trot last year but I'm worried about if I'd be overfacing her because she hasn't jumped showjumps since last autumn although we do pop logs and she did a bit of jumping out hunting.

I did a few small ones tonight to try her out and she was fine although she refused two of them the first time she came to them and took a bit of a flier at the planks. I did several goes round a mini course and she was fine by the end but it wasn't like her to put in a stop on the first couple. I know that a bit of me was nervous because she hadn't done it for so long, do you reckon that a huge dose of rescue remedy and remembering to sit up, kick and not look at the jump should do the trick?
