Hi, Im sure Im in the same situation as a lot of people, lack of time to ride, (not ridden any of my horses since October) due to work commitments and lack of falcilities close to home.
I have a very talented young event mare whom I coached along slowly last year and she exceed all our expectations. I have come to realise that I just wont get the time this year to do her any justice at all - so I think Id like someone to carry on with what I've started. I know she'll go up the grades quickly as she is super bold and very intelligent - now she needs 'milage'!
Im not interested in selling her, and even though she has blood lines to die for, Ill not put her in foal (yet).
Ive had people ride for me before, but schooling, dressage, showing and show jumping - but never eventing.
Ive looked at some young rider profiles and cant decide if she will be better off with one of them instead of a 'pro'.
Does anyone have any ideas of how to 'get' a rider (eventer) and how much it costs ect. She is on full livery at the moment, and I have 3 other horses to play with while she is away (one is 2 year old TB, one is my 18 year old, and the other is a tiny pony)
Suggestions/ideas/advise/experiances please
