Finally got some decent warm dry weather here so turned my old mare out 24/7. She has company during the day but is on her own overnight. Has lived out like this for years but brought her in this winter as she's getting older. Now she is pacing around the fields (we have CCTV up there). She's not going mad but not really settling to graze. Shall I leave her or bring her in. Man I'm such a softie!!

She'll be fine, it always takes a few days for them to settle into the new routine. Mine's got his first night out naked (only been out since Friday so feels like it's happened all of a sudden!) yay, no muckin' out!!

Most of us are soft on them, they say about dogs bossing us humans around but horses are just as clever!!!! Mines twisted his fetlock (I think) and I kept him in today but he played on my heart strings wanting to be out, so knowing that walking around will probably make it worse I was really soft and let him oit in the field, he went out very quietly so im hoping he stays like that!!!! Its really hard, see what she is like in the morning she may have settled over night, but you know what she is like!!!!
