Should I take her to the vets?

Found what feels like a fatty lump on the back of the Beasts neck. Towards the end of it. At first I thought it was just a roll of skin, but you can clearly feel it's a lump. Dad says I'm being paranoid, but Mark said I should take her just for peace of mind as it could be nothing but at least I won't be worrying.

Guess I've answered my own question really and will phone to make an appointment!

Any ideas what it could be?
 
Has she had an injection recently? If so could be an infection, or reaction at the site. My bitch had one of these after her booster last year, which grew really big, but she also had loads of other auto immune type problems after it so was quite a serious reaction. If in doubt I would take her to the vet, as you say it will put your mind at rest.
 
It probably is just a fatty lump, my JRT has one on his side for about 2yrs, the vet has checked and decided to leave it alone. I would get it check, just to give you peace of mind.
 
He just poked it, lump is round (about the size of a 1p) and fully mobile (sort of floats over his ribs), so he thought it was just a fatty lump (which was my initial thought too). He said just to keep an eye on it and bring him back if it grows or changes. To be honest he had, had it a month before the vet checked it, I wasn't especially worried about it, so had l just kept an eye on it till his vacs were due!!

def take, don't want to worry you but our boxer had what felt like a fatty lump on th eside of his nexk, vets removed it and it turned out to be a mast cell tumour (very nasty). Beacuse I found it early on it was all removed and he is fit and well 18 months later.

2 other pea sized lumps were removed from other places at the same time, these were both harmless.
 
Looked 'fatty lumps' up on the net and it said as long as they're movable nowt to worry about. However, if it doesn't move it's something that needs to be investigated further.
 
My old dog had one a couple of years ago same sight as yours. I could get my fingers all around & under it so it wasn't attached to anything & she didn't seem bothered about it. Bro wanted my to take her to vets for check as she was 7 thinking the dreded C word but I said I will wait & see if it changes (Bad Mummy)!
It disappeared on it own after a couple of weeks.
It would of been about the size of a table tennis ball. I think that Quail was young at that time & with playing may of nipped her a tad hard on the neck & this was like a hematoma.
