should i wear spurs or not??

just wondering if spurs would help.
opinions please
i am 5ft tall and my horse is a 17.3 wb gelding who is great but sometimes is nosey and doesnt listen to your leg.
i dont want to keep nagging him with my legs
would spurs help??

Possibly - try some roller ball ones first

I would personally wear them. Just short rounded ones because I cant bear nag nag nagging with the leg all the time. And thats a big horse for little legs. At the same time I would also say you need to work on getting him forward and more responsive to the leg.

We have a 17.3hh WB at work, his owner is only 5ft 4 and she has to wear spurs or he didn't even know she is there. I can get away with a big, long whip as I am taller.

put spurs on .you dont have to use them , but they are there is needed.

thanks guys cyber chick he is responive but sometimes his concentration just goes if he wants to nose at something lol
