YO and I decided to leave him unclipped this year but after our short canter through the field at the weekend he was sweating all up his neck, even around his ears and chest. Haven't seen him sweat that much but he always sweats around the girth line.
He's a 13yo tb. Ridden 2-4 times a week which is either 45 minutes in the school or 1/ 1.5 hour hacking. At the moment he gets about 1 - 4 hours out grazing due to the fields still being wet, the rest of the time he's in. I also have every type of rug so he doesn't get cold! He struggles to hold his weight but doing well so far.
I'm trying to build up his fitness and muscle so will be trotting for longer/doing more short canters etc.
Should he be clipped (bib clip maybe?) or leave him as he is?
