should my horse wear boots?

i have a 15hh 4yr old welsh rescue, and was wondering wether i should use boots when riding. we are doing mostly dressage, but with the occasional jump. he doesnt over reach, hit his back legs, ect, but can get a bit tangled when jumping.

I would probably get a tendon and fetlock boot set but only use them when jumping.
