I was out on Katie(15.00 mare Connemara x thoroughbred mare) and asked her to trot the ground was soaking and she felt a little bit lame not much just a little bit lame so took her back to my yard and rinsed the leg down and trotted her out and couldn't see anything obviously wrong with her and now I feel like I should of just carried on should I of or was I right!!!

Hard to say! I will, if a horse feels slightly off often work them a little more to see if it wears off or gets worse but you must do what you think right.

I don't think you were wrong to check, my mare had a slipping stifle last year, she would look sound for ages then would start taking shorter strides with one leg and then it started slipping completely. Had to take a video in the end to watch myself/send to vet to check I wasn't going crazy
I also thought she looked slightly "off" and wasn't her normal self a week or so before she got full blown acute laminitis. Wish now I had taken it more seriously at the time

I usually find that my instincts are right...so I tend to follow them! Better safe than sorry
