Not sure this is strictly c+t but thought you guys might have the answer I'm looking for. I have some Sarm long show boots. I have had them a coupes of years. Always fitted just right. Since moving to the states I haven't really worn them until now. Due to the heat (40+ degrees) I'm finding them a but snug, especially in the afternoon as I hate to say it but your legs defiantly swell in these conditions. Any tips on how to stretch my boots a little or how to keep my calves from expanding would be grately appreciated. I am trying to get cavallo champion breeches underneath with a pair of the thin show socks if that helps at all

Thanks, I will try and seen some of out summer your way!

I'm not sure what the bottom of the Cavallo breeches is like, but maybe take a look at he premier equine jods - their latest ones have a super thin stretchy material below the knee, which feels lovely when it is warm! (realise you're on the other side of the pond, but may be worth a look see ;) ). My boots are sometimes a little snug if I have the wrong jods / socks combo on, and the PE jods make doing the zip up far easier :)

Otherwise, stuffing your boots with newspaper to try and stretch them out a little?

Great thank you. Unfortunately I need them this week. I have heard that damp newspaper can help. Will give that a go. Thanks

You can buy shoe stretch spray that helps to stretch leather. I'm not 100% sure how you'd go about it, but assume it comes with instructions !

You can buy compression socks - I got some from ebay. Put them on first thing and they stop your legs swelling, maybe a bit uncomfy in hot weather though, but work well for me!
