show bridles and browbands

can anyone recommend a good show bridle for my horse? will i be able to get away buying one bridle to do both hunter classes and riding horse classes?
is there any fancy coloured browbands I can look at that arent velvet

The faff in changing browbands is unbelievable, remember you have your slip piece doing up on the opposite side to everything else so you have to take everything apart!!

I am on a search for another hunter cavasson - brown, full size (hint hint if anyone has one hiding in the back of a tack room!!!) and most certainly not brand new to put on my second double bridle and add the 'pretty browband'.

Also Kincade make a not bad quality double bridle complete except for bits for about £30

Most browbands are velvet and ribbon, but I am sure you could have one made up however you wished.

If you don't have a tight budget then ring Fylde Saddlery - showing is their thing and they really know what they are talking about. They sorted me out a really nice in hand bridle for Chancer with a flat noseband and browband.

Years ago I had a browband made up of silk rather than velvet in my personal colours.
