Are there any types of cane that are correct for certain classes?

I'm going to show my Section D eventually (when I resolve my lack of transport issue!) and this is one of my last things to get.
I've found a beautiful one, it's bamboo stained Walnut coloured, with silver ends. Would this be correct or is it going to be too 'blingy'.
Please don't tell me I need a plain brown leather one! (I hate 'blingy' items as such, this one's v. classy).

Also, is £21 a fair price? Plain leather ones seem v. cheap online (although most likely of questionable quality...)

I have a bamboo one with silver ends for showing a highland, it is lovely and has had many nice comments. No one has declared it 'wrong'. I forget what I paid for it but it was more than a normal one.

This is a similar one but with brass ends. . I bought mine from this seller, it is lovely quality, they have some lovely ones, I could quite easily start collecting them :)

Regarding price, if you love it and it does the job be happy you found it!

I use a Wembly Whip, which has a horn end and is very plain and great for traditional cobs. However, not that cheap, but I have had it for a long time and hopefully for more years to come so long term it is worth the extra cost.

What you describe sounds fine. My in hand cane is leather covered with metal ends.

The one my niece has exactly as you describe, bamboo with metal ends and she rides a welsh C.

It will be fine. I have one that I use for showing everything from Lead Reins to Riding Horses. Most of the leather ones these days don't last a day in the rain as the insides are just cardboard.
