show cross vs jump cross...

I presume you know what SJ is so I'll just explain the jumpcross part!!

Jumpcross is effectively showjumps (green/yellow polyjump style) over XC terrain. They can include going through water, up/down slopes (poss steps/ditches) but with the reassurance of knock down fences rather than solid.

A nice introduction to XC riding if you or your horse haven't done it before and they tend to have training/competition days quite regularly through the summer.

Check out http://www.jumpcross.com/ for more info.

Doh! Just realised I was too speedy in my reply the last time and thought you were asking about Show JUMPING vs jump cross!

My sincere apologies and no wonder no one replied as I was being an idiot!!

Never heard of show cross though. A quick google brought up this;

Which is (as mentioned) SJ with XC. So also known as "Eventers Grand Prix" I guess?
