Just looking for a bit of advice re the best show jackets for tall flat chested people who have short torsos and gorilla arms (minus the hair)?

I was very excited to try on some Pikeurs after reading so many good things about them and how flattering they are...I looked ruddy awful in all of them - boxy and shapeless. The arm length was better than I was expecting though.

The Cavallo Goldstern appeared to be made for my figure and was so flattering...apart from the fact the arms were about 3 inches too short. :(

I know they do a long cut but it is special order so couldn't try it on and I am guessing everything including the waist and hem will be longer rather than just the arms which is all I need.

Any one have any recommendations? Can't afford to spend more than £160 really.

They'll probably be above your budget but Alexander James will make alterations to their patterns for you, they have some beautiful jackets.

Thanks for the recommendation, I think they are a bit over-budget unfortunately.

It's a shame I can't just lengthen the sleeves on the Cavallo but I think 2-3 inches would be pushing it and in any case the cuffs have proper button holes which I think means you can't lengthen the sleeves as easily.

Wish I could afford a bespoke jacket - I usually end up feeling more like a sack of spuds in my show gear than I do in my casual gear! :p

animo! ££££ but stunning fit on tall and slim with no body!

NMT is same shape (i call her a spider, tiny body great long arms and legs lol!) and her Animo looks stunning on her, fits to a T.

Thanks for the recommendations :D..these are the beautiful expensive brands jackets I refused to try on in case I found "the one" and my OH would have to drag me out of the shop by my ankles. Time to dust off the ebay account me thinks.

Anyone want to buy a kidney? 1 careful lady owner.
