Hi All,

We are out competing on the weekend for the first time in months.
I'm looking for peoples opinions please, we have always competed in SHP classes my horse is 15hh so we compete at 153cm classes & Intermediate SHP as I am under 25.

I am interested in a few 'proper' hunter classes, do you think he will be too small to stand a chance up against the hunter horses in an open class? We are going to give open hunter a go on Saturday but i feel he will look tiny and pants compared to the bigger 16.2hh + hunters. Small hunter will be great for him but I must say I haven't seen many Small Hunter classes in county shows near me.

Thank you!

Sadly he isn't big enough for open hunter weight classes at county level. There is normally a small hunter at all county shows.

I didn't think he would be AA :(, the open hunter class on Saturday is at a local show so we will give it a go for experience as there are no restrictions!
Thank you

He will look very out of place in the big hunter classes.

However my 15hh SHP did very well in the riding horse classes too

Good luck with him, Little Alice is heading to a very rare small hunter class at a local countryside show on Saturday. Lets hope we both have a good day.
