Show Hunter Classes

I am planning on showing my horse this year in show hunter classes at county level. This will be the first year that i have done showing properly so does the horse need to be affiliated/registered? If so would this be the case for search for a star as well?
 
Hi, only have had riding horses and hacks so not sure on hunters but you don't need to be registered with anything for search for a star. If you look at some county show schedules online they should say what society if any the horse needs to be registered with or try googling the national hunter show which will take you to the sports horse website which may have info on it. Hopefully someone with a hunter will give you more help.
