Show jacket advice?

Hi,

We have recently taken on a pony as a part loan, with a view to the children starting pony club and local shows.

Can anyone advise me which would be the most practical jacket - navy show jacket or tweed hunting jacket? We currently aren't planning on hunting but never say never I guess! Ideally I would like to only buy one jacket but I'm unsure if a hunting jacket is deemed smart enough for showing. The girls are 11 and 15 if that makes any difference?!

Tweed every time - the kids can hunt in it and do shows, local dressage etc you should be able to pick up a nice 2nd hand one on ebay

unless the pony is a super fine posh prancy then you would need a blue one

You will rarely be incorrect in tweed, and frequently incorrect with navy!

Plus, tweed does not show the dirty anywhere NEAR as badly as the navy does!
