Hi

My daughter is really getting in to jumping, we are attempting to make/build some jumps at the weekend for her. We have already cleaned up the countryside by using all the dumped tyres around here to hold up some poles.

She is Dyslexic and really struggles with order and has short term memory problems but is a great little rider who's self esteem rockets when she is around horses! so what I really want to know is if there is a standard or basic diagram of where to put jumps in the school that she could learn so that when we go to shows she will have an idea of what to do and where to go next.

I have spent ages googling this and haven't come up with much!!

Any info really really appreciated.

Thanks

There are various books available on show jumping course building, that might help you build a course for her at home.

However, if she wants to compete the course will be designed by a course builder on the day, there are no standard courses, unlike dressage tests. Depending on the venue, the course plan might be posted in the collecting ring, but at unaffiliated level this is uncommon.

Sorry, probably not much help!
