Show legal?

Hoping to start off with some riding club level shows with my traditional cob, nothing fancy. Problem is it has been ten years since I have been near a show, and each person I ask has a different answer. Please can someone tell me if a hanging cheek snaffle is rc legal for showing classes? Just general coloured classes. Thank you!x

I think you will be fine at RC level. I go with what he horse is happy in.

I have shown at local level in a snaffle in a riding club class and a pelham in a hunters class. I've seen cobs in both at local and county level.

There are no 'illegal' bits in showing.

Novice classes usually state a snaffle to be used, but other than that...... You're ok. In fact it's amazing what people will put in their horses mouths.

You will probably see lots of Pelhams and doubles.
