Show me your blanket clips...

Not a blanket clip more of a Kenzo clip :D although you can't see the rest due to having her tack on but the line across her belly then flows into the shape of your saddle area.

Excuse the front legs, everytime she twitched a little (must of tickled a bit there) I had to start a new line so it looks like her stockings are falling down.

Keeps her cool in the areas where she sweats and the areas where I need to wash her down but keeps her quarters warmer.

That's the same clip I do, quick and easy, no fiddly lines!

Edited to say, just saw your response, not sure what you can do except move the line higher or wait for the coat to go, the summer coat will start coming through soon anyway so unless you gave shows I'd leave it!

not a good one i'm afraid as he kicked me and I messed up the line over his bum when I jumped in the air. Held on to my clippers though! He looks like a donkey too but this is the best one I have of his clip!

Do you have a pic without the saddle on? Looks good but cant figure the shape under tha saddle

Straight line form point of wither to stifle, some people sort of swop down from the wither but that's all a bit complicated for me, the point to point line also means I know both sides will match and it's simple! I suppose if the coat is very thick you may need to watch the saddle fit, but I try and cut it forward enough on the wither point to ensure the main seat of the saddle is all on uncut coat.

Hope that makes sense!!

This is what I call an Irish Clip. I personally go from half way down the neck, to the point of the stifle. It suits my horse, who would have to really work hard to get a sweaty bottom, but who's neck and shoulder would sweat.

This is a trace clip hun! smartly done! Its lovely and straight :)
If you have completely wonked the blanket clip OP, (as I did on Mels - sticking to chaser/irish clip next time!!)then there is really only one way to go - all off! Unless you can live with it till the big moult comes!! I couldnt live with the wonky stifle!! :D

Try doing it a inch higher if you have room to spare, just run clippers in a straightish line, then do the flank bit after. You can also tidy it up by holding the blades vertical and chopping a straight line, if you no what i mean! Then once you have done one side start from bum so u have a line to work with and its no higher on one side to other. Practice makes perfect! Don't want you to think i'm interfering just saying how i do it :)

This is Teddy's he initially had a chaser, so we clipped it quite high

I apologise for the slight scruffiness of it even with some sedalin it was still a tad interesting but all in all i think he looks rather smart :D

excuse the blur it had just started spitting too lol
