or barn/stable/ standing stall/shed conversions that you have done yourselves, not bought off the peg IYSWIM!
I need some good ideas on partitioning my old cow shed, so one end is for hay, feed and tack, and the other bays for stables/stalls.

Thankyou. :)

Havent got a pic, but my dad built my stables from scratch, he put wood in the bottom half of partitions and put garden wrought iron type gates at the top so ponios could still see each other without getting to each other to fight, would also help in keeping your barn light inside? Xx

Don't have any pics but my YO did one for me. He did a basic frame with supports from a beam on the ceiling and then put boards half way up so my mares can see each other still :) works quite well! It's really useful for rugs :D

Its a long old milking parlour/barn (think hand milking), with low beams running across the width, so am going to section the two at the end as one, and then section each one as a stable, so was thinking one or two pieces of Board as apposed to individual pieces of wood, but need to work out how to fix the bottom section. (?????)
What wood is best, marine ply??
Thank's for your replies! :)

if you look at the saltire stables website under field shelters it has some pics of using slip rails and a solid bit of wood to divide a shelter. look like good options.
