Right, so I've jumped on the bandwagon and got myself a pain of Jins! I forgot my dad owed me £75 and I had the extra lying around (saving to buy matchy matchy) so bought a pair last night. I needed new stirrups anyway as I've gone off my cheap flexible ones. Another friend at the yard really wants a pair but predominantly shows so cant justify pretty Jin Stirrops atm. So if I don't like them, she will buy them off me to make a bit of my money back!

I went for Titan Gold and I'm super excited! :) they should arrive tomorrow!

Basically, whole point of post is..... show me yours! :p (especially if they're titan gold)

Thank youuuuuu

I think they look awful lol

The majority of people I see wearing them are usually struggling with a horse far too talented for them that mummy and daddy has bought for them as they proceed to crash through the practice fences in their Ayr8 Dujardin with Pikeur breeches and equally expensive jacket :P

Not saying that's you but that's the image they paint in my head!!!

I have a pair of Titan Gold. My horse must be amazingly talented and me equally clueless as I have my name engraved on them too! Oh dear no hope for me as I also have a Pikeur Jacket

It is a really nice colour, understated - but different enough not to be boring.

Hahaha. You really made me chuckle as I also have an Ayr8! (But it fits my beach ball head so beautifully) I'm just a sucker for pretty things!! I know they're not to everyone's taste though! :)

Ooo that's exactly how I hoped they'd look in real life! :p I just think it's a nice colour to look at. I loved the titanium as a colour but wasn't brave enough to get as stirrups. As you said, it's understated in the gold but still a lovely colour! :) thank you

Wow. Judgemental much!! Who knew shiny stirrups could bring out such strong opinions!!

Ps. Here's me on my youngster with my blue jins...

Here's me in my silver Jins on my super posh £1k 11yo ex racer who will be off to the BD Winters for the 3rd time in a row in April (the next shot shows us crashing through the white boards....).

Thank you ladies! Look lovely! :)

Vickijay I love that colour on your mare! Is it raspberry?

NM I love Fig! He just looks so fabulous all the time! Definitely should have gone to you FB to look at pictures of Jins! Congrats on the BD winters. :)

yes I wondered that C&M, I also wondered if the metal cheesegrater style tread ruined the tread/sole on your riding boots?

Thank you and he is a cutie <3

Without sound thick - whats so great about them lol??

They are super light weight; for me, they put much less strain on my dodgy joints and I've also found the my lower leg position improved straight away since first using them 3 years ago.

Additionally, it is less weight on the horse. The difference between these and a pair of sprengers is unbelievable!

The cheesegrater tread does not ruin the sole of your boots.

They look like the tread pivots, a bit like sprenger ones? i do like the stirrups that pivot as it helps me keep my ankle down. My ankles can get a bit sore for example when super short XC stirrup length and constantly in a forward seat.

I can see the benefit of them if they tilt, although they are pricey (£125!)

However if they don't tilt then i don't see the point in them.

see above, they can help if you suffer with your joints/back.

TBH i have really noticed it recently as with not having 1 of my own to ride, ive been riding clients horses only. lent my jins to a client couple of weeks ago and also rode her horse in them and immediately felt the wider tread support my ankle, hips and lower back more.

so they are pretty, but can help some people with leg joint or back pain due to the wider foot tread.

Just had a look at the website. Not sure I'd feel comfortable supporting a company that sells elephant leather belts...
Maybe I'm a hypocrite, as I use the hides of cows and sheep, but it just doesn't sit right with me.

Are they actually worth the money? I'm happy with my composite stirrups, which have a lovely wide, swivelling tread and cost a fraction of the Jins.

I do like the colours though! :p

The elephant leather has just put me right off this company too.
I can't believe they are allowed to make goods from elephant. But apparently they can.

I have jins on all of my dressage saddles and they are significantly lighter than the Sprenger bow balance stirrups that I have on my jump saddles. I do appreciate the wider footbed as above I suffer from really bad hips and back pain and I think they make me a bit more stable. I dont get to ride as often as I used to so my position has deteriorated and my core isn't as strong so they do help.

My sister has "bog standard" stirrups on her saddles and she said she thinks jins are better as well. Again it's the wider footbed. I think any stirrups with a wider footbed makes a difference (the bow balance ones certainly do). She has the same issues with back etc.

i have aluminium, gold and titanium grey. I also have the black ones with the crystals- these were sent to me by mistake and the company that sent them are refusing to take them back! Those ones are a tad over the top for me (I had ordered plain black for a new saddle). Not sure what to do with those ones as I can't get black ones until I am shot of those ones!
