Hopefully i will be taking my horse to his first show next sunday but i have a few problems...

first one is that he doesnt have a show name!, so was wondering if you lot could come up with some good ones for me!

Hes his breeding info on a chart ive made. (sorry if its really big!) His stable name is calico but its always shortened to cal.

Any one got any tips for me to make his neck look as best as it can? How many plaits would you do?

piccie of neck.. as you can see his mane needs taming lol

hes also got a few rubs on his face, where been rubbed on something sharpish and taken some of his fur off, i know it wont grow back in a week, but can any one reccomend anything to put on it?

Hmm...assume you want a mixture of parents names in there too? If he was a girly I would call him Calico Belle. But, as hes not, then how about Calico Peace??

Calico is actually a nice name so you could always leave it at that. Bit poncy dressage tho!! lol

As for plaiting- I always do as few as possible! Chunky plaits look ok and will make his neck look bigger.

hows bout waterloo peace?

my horses stable name is merlin, but his show name is cosmic rollo as hes by rachelle comet out of roll form debbie!

the correct plaits for a hunter is 9 - 13, and smaller plaits but not too many generally look better as then it shows off the neck muscle...
if the mane is thin or uneven in length then do smaller plaits!
